Just got this from my girl Mila in Bangkok. The fact that she lives in Bankok is not important. I've just always liked saying "Bangkok." What is important is that this track was sent by Mila and is featured on a DJ-Kicks album by Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb.You see Mila introduced me to Phoenix back in 2005 via an Erlend Øye remix of "If I Ever Feel Better" which was also on a DJ-Kicks album (I should explain that DJ-Kicks is an ongoing series of albums composed by various musicians for the indie label !K7 Records). I spent the next four years telling anyone who would listen about Phoenix, and the last two years telling those same people "Told ya so." All that is to say, if Mila sends me music, especially from a DJ-Kicks album, I'm gonna listen to it and maybe you should too.
DJ-Kicks by Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb is expected March 15 and is available for pre-order on iTunes.
