"Real girls in their own place. Not too crazy and just a pinch of naughty." That's how the creator of meinmyplace.com describes his photo blog, and that's all it should take to get you to visit his site. I'll give you a moment to do that...

After perusing a few images of pretty girls lounging around their well-appointed homes in various states of undress during the daytime (basically what the perfect morning after or lazy afternoon with your girl would look like), you may have some burning questions that you want answered. I did, and I got the opportunity to ask them. My conversation with the creator of meinmyplace is below, with some of my favorite pics interspersed.

What is the motivation behind your photography for meinmyplace?
I've always enjoyed the female form, but felt that there was something missing in most of the work out there. I really look at these as portraits because I feel that the realness is what makes these images evocative and interesting to view. Without that connection, the images would feel flat and would not engage the viewer.

What is the girls' motivation for being photographed?

I think a lot of people have discredited the "male gaze." Women don't want to be objectified all the time, but certainly enjoy a bit of attention from time to time. All women, all shapes, all sizes. Who doesn't want to feel beautiful and alluring. I think that, in and of itself, is justification enough for the subjects of meinmyplace.

Since the girls aren't professional models, how much do you advise them on poses and wardrobe and how much is just them doing and wearing what they feel is sexy?

I'm not sure how much coaching I actually give the girls. It is more that we hang out and get comfortable. Everyone loves to laugh and smile, whether they have their clothes on or not.

For women interested in being photographed, what are you looking for? Any requirements on what they or their place should look like?
No requirements at all. Just an open mind and a free afternoon...
