REMIX WEDNESDAY

Some hear a track as it is and ask "why so dope?" Others hear a track as it could be and ask "why not doper?" On Remix Wednesdays, ITV highlights the work of those talented musicians who re-imagine the work of other talented musicians to the benefit of us all.
Today's selection:

Knight Riderz remix of King Fantastic's "Westcoastsynthesizerbeachbumgangstermusic." While the title almost certainly references Outkast's "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik," the track also references N.W.A.'s "Boyz-N-The-Hood" and Snoop's "Gin and Juice." My guess is that the heavy synth effect is an homage to that intergalactic man of mystery/DJ/robotic zookeeper known throughout our universe as Soundwave. Spotted on Pigeons and Planes.

Cee-Lo covering Band of Horses and demonstrating once again how uniquely gifted he is. Band of Horses repaid the favor at this year's Austin City Limits.

Bag Raiders remix of one of my favorite Cut Copy tracks.

Anoraak remix of Siobhan Wilson's "Getting Me Down." Chill.

Philippians remix of The Pharcyde's "Runnin." I've been pushing this remix on friends for years so I thought I should share it with the masses once and for all.
