Though I consider myself a fan of "The Simpsons," I must admit that I haven't watched an episode in a long time. That's why I missed it when Matt Groening tapped Bansky to direct the show's ever-changing opening sequence. For those who don't know, Bansky is a prolific British graffiti artist and director of the film Exit Through The Gift Shop. He has painted images on the West Bank Barrier and surreptitiously hung his paintings in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Museum of Modern Art. His work has sold for as much as £288,000. Imagine how upset you'd be now if you were one of those property owners who painted over or stripped off the pieces that Bansky so generously gave them for free. Probably just slightly more upset than FOX executives after this opening sequence aired.
